The Audio Media Technologies Group (AMT) provides the audio, video, and graphics foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, including AirPods, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, and macOS, as well as professional and consumer applications from Final Cut, Logic, and Listening Experience technology areas such as the Personal Sound Enhancement and Spatial Audio experiences.
The Audio QA group provides audio software test support across all of these of Apple's products and more.
We are seeking a creative, and organized test engineer to perform manual testing on the AirPods as well as Listening Experience areas, and work with automated solutions to support and enhance our quality initiatives.
Audio drivers, firmware and audio subsystems will all be areas of testing you will be responsible for.

Key Qualifications 8
years experience in audio test and developmentSolid understanding of macOS and iOS platforms and QA methodologiesWorking knowledge of C, C+
and expertise in scripting and debugging with PythonExpertise in revision control systems (svn, git)Able to architect solutions and drive it from its inception to completionExperience in lab equipment setup & maintenanceDescription You will contribute to the development and testing of the next generation AirPods hardware & software, and Listening Experience technologies.
By architecting, automating, scaling and prototyping new audio test methodologies in this role.
Daily tasks include:
Expertise in isolating issues, debugging with development boardsWork under pressure and quickly adapt new technology into effective audio testing.
Work with peer groups to understand the needs, challenges and existing tools and be involved in defining and updating team test tools, processes and procedures.
Use excellent debugging skills to solve problems and have an eye and ear for quality.
Be intensely curious yet focused on delivering results in a timely manner.

or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Music Technology, or equivalent experienceAdditional Requirements Knowledge of Apple software developer tools (Xcode, Objective-C) is preferred Audio DSP experience is preferred A foundational understanding of electronics, audio technology, and recording studios is preferred Familiarity with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.
