As a Product Design Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for a mechanical architecture that successfully achieves comfort and fit across the population.
Through this, you will be conducting analysis, design work, prototyping, and user studies in order to create and set specifications to guide the design.
In this role you will engage in frequent multi-disciplinary collaboration with teams like Industrial Design, Project Management, Human Engineering, Human Factors, Marketing, Retail, SW, Materials, EE, Display, Softgoods, and more.

years of hands-on, detailed product design experienceStrong analytical skills with regard to mechanical engineering theoryExperience working in technical project groups in a professional environment Proficiency in 3D CAD (any modeling package)Basic GD&T knowledge, tolerance analysis, and experience releasing 2D drawingsWorking knowledge of FEA principlesWide knowledge of basic engineering materials and manufacturing processesBasic consumer electronics knowledge in a majority of these disciplines:
industrial design, optics and lenses, cameras, sensors, displays, PCBs and flexes, silicon, antennas, batteries, thermalsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails, preparing slide presentations, and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teamsCreative problem solving, with experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and DOE creationDetail orientated and capable of handling multiple assignments at onceExperience designing for weight reduction and structural optimization a plus Experience in ergonomics, designing for wearables or humans, and human factors a plusDescription The role spans the entire spectrum of product design development, from concept development, prototyping and testing, to design development, CAD and FEA analysis, to detailed design, drafting, DOE development, user testing.
This work is undertaken in our offices, our labs and workshops, and in partnership with our vendors.
Excellent communication skills including preparing slide presentations and participating in working meetings are critical.
Experience with high-volume mass production is highly valuable.
