Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake developer to join our Supply Chain IT team! As a Senior Cloud Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data architecture on the Snowflake cloud data platform for Supply Chain planning data.
Your expertise is crucial in optimizing our data infrastructure, query performance, and analytics while ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Data Architecture Design:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design optimal data models within the Snowflake environment.
Develop and implement best practices for data organization, storage, and retrieval.
Administration:
Configure and manage Snowflake accounts, including user access, security, and permissions.
Monitor system health, performance, and resource utilization, and implement optimizations as needed.
Data Integration and Processing:
Work closely with ETL developers to ensure seamless and efficient data integration processes.
Building and maintaining Snowpipes and streamingsSetting up data load and unloads onto Microsoft blob storage and/or Amazon S3 bucketsTroubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Develop stored procedures and UDFs using Snowflake scripting/Python/JavaPerformance Tuning:
Identify and address performance bottlenecks in queries and data processing.
Implement clustering strategies to optimize query performance.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive data.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data storage and processing.
Analytics:
Build dashboards using native apps for predictive analytics and reporting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are also required.
Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum QualificationsThe candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 6
years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 4
years of experience -OR- a PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other Engineering related field and 2
year of experience in:
Data Engineering or in a similar role, with a deep understanding of Snowflake architecture and features.
SQL skills and experience in optimizing complex queries.
Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
Scripting skills (Python, Snowflake, JavaScript) for automation tasks.
Data modeling and database design principles.
Snowflake API and ML modeling.
Data warehousing practices and data lake solutions.
Preferred QualificationsExperience connecting Snowflake's native applications for predictive analytics using machine learning tools.
IT data planning experience in Supply Chain is considered an advantageous skill.
Creating Power BI reports for data analysis.
Demand and Supply S-OP Metrics.
SnowPro Core/advanced certified.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California:
$180,070.
00-$270,050.
00Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
Work Model for this RoleThis role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
