Applications and experiences are at the core of unleashing the potential of Spatial Computing on Apple s platforms. As a member of our team, you will be at the forefront of ideating, developing, and shipping groundbreaking experiences that build on top of the unique capabilities of Spatial Computing across a variety of areas. Our applications engineering team is uniquely positioned at the intersection of design, frameworks, operating systems, and low-level software by joining us you will work closely with peers across these functions to deliver life-changing products to our customers. This team is working with some of Apple s most advanced technologies including Spatial Computing, augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML), and computer vision (CV).Key QualificationsExtensive track record of building and shipping complex applications or user facing systems on consumer platformsStrong command of object-oriented programming (C / C+
/ Obj-C / Swift preferred)Extensive knowledge of application software design principlesDemonstrated technical leadership in building and shipping high quality softwareDemonstrated ability to communication and collaborate across team boundariesDescriptionThe ideal candidate for this role is driven by a need to explore how the intersection of hardware and software engineering can empower novel methods of human expression. You love working in uncharted territory and answering questions through prototyping and experimentation. You demonstrate an ability to translate your prototypes into a single clear direction that allows you and your teammates to innovate down to the details. years of relevant industry experienceAdditional RequirementsReleased API based on modern design principles to other engineering teams (preferred)Experience with recommendation systems is a plusExperience with computer vision frameworks and multi-modal ML systems is a plusPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
