We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and confident individuals to join the CPU Architecture and Performance Team; we are a group that is driving advanced exploration for next generation iPhone, iPad, and Mac CPU architectures.
Key QualificationsYou should have strong knowledge of CPU architecture and micro-architectureBe comfortable in an environment of uncertainty and able to work through ambiguitiesYou will need strong communication, influence, and negotiation skillsYou will be working closely with others in a simulation environment to enable data driven decisions.
Familiarity with performance and/or power simulation environmentsStrong coding skills including object-oriented programming with C and C++Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithmsKnowledgeable in software design patternsProficiency in scripting languages such as Perl or PythonFamiliarity with SIMD and vector architectures a plusKnowledge of OS internals and compiler technology a plusDescriptionAs a CPU Performance Engineer with a focus on CPU micro-architecture, you will be part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of innovation in the area of branch prediction, code/data prefetchers, novel prediction schemes and CPU pipelines.
With others you will seek out areas for improvement while collecting data and measurements that either confirm the idea or rule it out.
You will collaborate with experienced CPU designers in micro-architecture and RTL to assess the feasibility of ideas through modeling, refine ideas and model correlation, and seed new ideas.
The role requires the analysis of specific single-threaded and multi-threaded workloads across existing and new product categories to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
We collaborate as a larger CPU architecture and performance team to maintain and improve the simulation environment and look for ways to boost the productivity of the entire team.

Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.
This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.
00 and $256,500.
00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
