Behavior Tutor

Multiple Positions - Part Time Hours 2:30pm -- 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Pacific Autism Center for Education (PACE) is seeking multiple Behavior Tutors. The Behavior Tutor provides individualized intensive behavior therapy based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to children 24 months and older, in the PACE's Redwood City office environment, child's home, school, and/or community. This position works directly with clients in a highly collaborative environment and is responsible for implementing individualized student behavior plans that focus on improving: receptive and expressive language skills, social behavior, adaptive behavior and academic skills. The Tutor is expected to display professional conduct by reliably maintaining clinic hours, using appropriate language and behavioral terminology, and completing all administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential functions and duties include but are not limited to the following:
Implementing the least-restrictive program of treatment that enables a child to learn effectively.
Demonstrating the competent usage and modeling of basic procedures including: differential reinforcement, discrete trial instruction, effective prompting, behavior reduction procedures, reinforcement sampling and behavior specific praise.
Providing direct services and implementing the individualized student behavior programs within a home, school and/or community setting.
Understanding, reviewing and implementing behavior plans and short term objectives as stated in the child's assessments, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and/or Individualized Education Evaluation (IEE).
Following written treatment directions, collecting numeric data and documenting student progress.
Collaborating with staff and providing clear, timely communication to all members of the team.
Requirements
AA degree in a related field or working toward a Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent experience. BA is preferred
Experience and passion for working with children who have challenging behaviors and developmental disabilities, as well as prior experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) preferred, but willing to train the right person.
Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
Be playful, creative, energetic and enthusiastic.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Available to attend monthly evening in-service.
Possess a valid California driver's license with a good driving record, proof of insurance and an automobile to travel to and from therapy sessions and to the clinic for additional training sessions and meetings.
Pay Rate: $15.00 - $16.00/hour DOE

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
