Talent Development and Organization Effectiveness Consultant

Our Approach
M Squared Consulting will immediately join the Santa Clara, CA-based HR team to lead assigned talent development projects and effectiveness initiatives. Our work will encompass training operations management, project administration, and management of various deliverables within a global implementation effort for the company's new learning management system.

M Squared Consulting Responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to:
Day-to-day management of the administration, coordination, and marketing of global e-learning and blended learning training programs
Logistics leadership, to include scheduling, coordination, training room set up, participant communications, sourcing, and training tracking in the LMS of internally-developed and vendor trainings
Participation on the new global LMS (Saba) implementation project, including leadership as a "super user" for the U.S.; this will require the consultant to create and maintain curricula, course information, schedules, registration, and completion records, and to partner with global training colleagues and HRIS on the roll-out
Building effective, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Business, HR, Talent Development and Organization Effectiveness colleagues to: i) understand the initiatives across the organization; ii) share learnings and best practices; and iii) create alignment and support for change
Monitoring the overall training program, conducting needs analysis, providing status updates to key stakeholders, and creating metrics that measure effectiveness and utilization of all programs
Monitoring the TD&OE annual and quarterly training budgets, estimating and managing project costs, and managing purchase requisitions and invoices
Managing vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiations
Participating in special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Expected Consulting Deliverables may include, but will not be limited to:
Global e-learning and blended learning training program administration, coordination and marketing
Training logistics
Curricula to support LMS implementation; schedules, registration, and completion records
Best practices documentation and sharing
Training program monitoring
Needs analysis / results documentation
Status updates
Metrics definition, application, results documentation
Annual and quarterly training budget monitoring
Project cost management, purchase requisitions and invoices
Vendor relations, contracts, and negotiations

Consultant Expertise
Industry
High Tech Industry ideal; any fast-paced industry appropriate

Functional
Formal education and experience in learning and development functions, and training operations
Outstanding verbal and written communications, planning, organizing, attention to detail, and project management skills
Learning Management Systems (LMS) implementation experience
Ability to manage complex contracting processes, along with strong experience with MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word

and meet deadlines, the M Squared Consultant in this role must work with high energy and stamina.

Knowledge Transfer Plan
Our focus throughout this engagement will be on training operations and implementation project management within a six-month timeframe. As the engagement winds down there may be ongoing completion timelines to hand off to a designated successor; M Squared Consulting will support the client by ensuring that these are properly transferred along with ensuring that all engagement artifacts are readily accessible to the organization.

Engagement Logistics
Qualified consultants will be introduced as soon as they are available; work should begin no later than April 1, 2014. This engagement will require full-time deployment in Santa Clara through the end of September. There may be some opportunity for off-site work after an initial ramp-up period.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
