Translate business requirements into software system specifications. Design and develop system software architectures (including storage, security, and networking components) for next generation scalable storage solutions design develop and support File System related software. Participate all team functions within the File System group and cross functional group within Engineering. Provide guidance to junior engineers on software development and file system designs. Work with the engineering managers to deliver software products and software patches with accurate schedule. Program in C language. Program execution environments are Linux/Unix operating system. File system performance experience is needed as product is deployed in highly performance centric environment at customer site. May be assigned to projects that utilize NAS protocols CIFS, NFS, and transport protocols iSCSI, TCP/IP.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Comp. Sci., Engin,(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field plus 60 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation.
Experience must include 60 months of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience. Experience must include: 1) High availability product design, 2) Buffer cache, 3) Designing and development of file system, 4) Journaling file system, 5) transport protocols iSCSI, TCP/IP, 6) NAS protocols CIFS and NFS, 7) file system performance, and 8) file system corruption detection. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
