Electrical Engineer (Product Quality & Reliability – (E4)

Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends
best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Works independently,
with guidance in only the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects. Key Responsibilities
1. Leads multiple quality engineering projects in a cross-functional, fast paced environment. Drives 8D and FA projects
towards successful implementation of solutions.
2. Evaluates, from a reliability standpoint, the materials, properties and techniques used in design and manufacturing by
AMAT and AMAT's suppliers.
3. Performs FMECA, documents CRAMS and works with supplier and development engineers to enable CRAMS test
plans. Leads Part Qualification Process (PQP) at supplier.
4. Analyzes non-conformance and failure rate data to focus and prioritize the Q&R projects. Reviews Engineering Change
Requests for their impact on Quality and Reliability (Q&R). Assists in preparing & presenting Q&R management reports.
Functional Knowledge
Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in Electrical engineering, PCBA and components qualification & failure analysis, De-Rating methodology for electrical parts, DFR, electro-mechanical components.
Business Expertise
Technically astute and detail oriented. High-energy, hands-on, self-confident leader with broad knowledge of product
development, manufacturing quality and reliability methods.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Reliability, or a related field

Certified Quality or Reliability Engineer
