Manufacturing Technician Specialist, Machinery & Equipment

Job Description

Create high precision optics using continuous polishing machinery. Fabricate, grind and/or polish precision optics using a variety of equipment. Must be able to verify accuracy of finished product, as well as support process and product development. Focused on fabricating high quality products and quickly meeting customer s needs.

Job Qualifications

  • Skilled running continuous polishing & slurry equipment
  • Skilled with optical metrology equipment
  • Inspecting parts using auto autocollimators and interferometers
  • Skilled to visually inspect parts for defects
  • Able to run glass fabrication machinery
  • Optics handling skills to prevent scratches and defects
  • Good communications skills
  • Able to work standing in machine tool environment
  • Preferred to have basic computer data entry skills
